Welcome to homeremodeling.com!  My name is Christina, I’m in Austin, Texas and I'm a home remodeler. I've been a home remodeler for nine years, but I've been obsessed with home design and construction for as long as I can remember.

As a child, my family filled our Sunday's with free, fun family time by touring open houses. I used to sketch fantasy house plans on my Trapper Keeper and build the perfect kitchen using Legos. Even as a rebellious teen, I would split my modest allowance between two distinct types of magazines -- hair metal music mags and magazines filled with house plans. I'd plaster my walls with photos of Nikki Sixx while dreaming of a house with an indoor pool. No kidding, just as my mom.

I've matured a bit since then, and with maturity I've come to realize that houses with indoor pools are very expensive, and I'll be lucky to afford to build my own backyard Koi pond. So it's a good thing I don't mind getting my hands dirty. Now, I have the ability to turn some of my more realistic house fantasies into reality with just a little hard work and lumber. I love taking a home which has been a little neglected, and infusing it with creativity and TLC to see what can become of it.

I'm by no means an "expert" on all things construction, but I've participated in enough projects that I've accumulated a fair amount of tips and funny stories to share with you. So get your gloves and your goggles on, grab that sledgehammer and let's get to work.
