I've been considering going with cork flooring in the kitchen, but isn't bamboo just as green? It's so affordable. One downside is that it's pretty soft (I got dents in my last kitchen) but seems like

Having the right amount of light for your home can be very helpful for both the home owner and the world. Using incandescent bulbs for lighting can be harmful to nature, the best kind of lighting can be through natural light or the light coming from the sun. One way to maximize the natural light is through fixtures that can allow light in. For example a pergola. A pergola is a structure made out of pillars that support cross-beams and a open lattice. This allows natural light to pass through and give enough shade to people. This can also be used to train vines adding up to the green commitment that you have. We at the Eckhoff Construction can help you in choosing the right pergola for your home. We also do custom decks, custom patios, custom gazebos at even install fences for security.
