When we were building our house here, I found lots of great tile at Habitat for Humanity Re-Store. If you're flexible about what you want, it can be a great resource and money-saver. There are 2 here in Austin--one off Cesar Chavez and the other on North Lamar near 183.
I tiles 2 bathrooms with tile that is usually 30 cents each--got them for a nickel each.

Measure. Then re-measure. Then measure again. Then sleep on it and measure again the next morning.

I think the north location has closed, but the one in east Austin is still there. Pretty neat place to wander through. Just the other day I was wondering if they take donations. In our yen for demolition, we generally have plenty of raw material to donate. Currently it's a clutter of old doors and hinges in our garage.

Site Manager - Christina About Me: I've always had the home improvement bug, but only recently found a house truly in need of the TLC I have to share. Since purchasing the house, I've participated in nearly every form of home remodeling project there is. All with just one trip to the emergency room.
